Watch as actor Paul Mescal gets ready before the premiere of his new film, “Gladiator II.” The Irish thespian exudes effortless charm as he talks about his unforeseen friendship with director Ridley Scott and how remarkably, and uncharacteristically, at ease he feels for the royal premiere. Groomer Josh Knight gives Mescal a sneaky little face massage before tussling and teasing Paul’s undone mini-mullet hairdo. For the event, Mescal puts a modern twist on the classic black suit, wearing a single-breasted heavy wool Gucci tuxedo paired with a silk poplin shirt accented by a deconstructed bowtie. He completes the look with a dainty 1963 Cartier Petit Santos wristwatch, in keeping with the press tour’s classic, refined aesthetic.
