A section of the popular South West Coast Path has had to be closed off following another massive rockfall.
Hundreds of tonnes of red rock, mud and debris slipped from the 200ft tall cliffs at Sidmouth in Devon.
The fall was reported at first light yesterday (fri) by a local dog walker. It took out a 60ft wide chunk of the coastal path at the top which hundreds of people walk every day.
Lifeboat crews scoured the shoreline to make sure nobody was trapped on the beach while coastguards used a drone to search as a precaution.
A coastguard officer said about a 150ft wide section of the cliff had slid onto the beach. Officials have fenced off the path which has been re-routed inland.
The rockfall happened to the east of the seaside town and took place just days after another massive landslip occurred to the west of Sidmouth.
