The first Grasstrack meeting of the year, and now an annual event. Everyone very keen to try out new machines on this undulating circuit set in the Hereford countryside. The new 250cc Solo Champion Jed Collins out on a 500cc Solo for the first time, would he be able to continue his rich vain of form from 250cc to 500cc? He was certainly flying in practice. Lots of really quick riders in the 500cc Class, so the win would not come easy. His opposition would come from Time Nobes/David Howe/Daniel Winterton/and European Champion James Shanes.
