HAkA protects the Leuser Ecosystem which is the last place on earth where tigers, rhinos, elephants, and orangutans coexist in the wild.
They are an Aceh based NGO. Their name stands for Hutan, Alam dan Lingkungan Aceh (Forest Nature and Environment Aceh.)
HAkA strives for a stronger and healthier Aceh. They believe this is created through an empowered civil society whose members contribute to the wellbeing of the province by participating in activities that enhance environmental function to provide clean air, water, and earth and to sustain forest, river, and ocean.
With COVID -19 most of their programs are facing challenges and sadly environmental destruction is still going on. HAkA collaborates with FKL and FKL rangers who are on the frontlines protecting the Leuser Ecosystem from illegal activities.
Our goal with Coaching for Cause is to support this amazing organization to protect the Leuser Ecosystem.
Conservation of forests means protecting wildlife from extinction and ensuring the livelihoods of communities.
