In today's video, we are going to talk about the Horizontal Taxiway Markings.

If you watch until the end you will be able to orientate yourself when taxing on a busy and complex Airport.

If you are operating at a small Airport it is not that difficult to find and follow your taxi route, however, there are Airports, such as Madrid for example. that have a complex taxi routing.

Sometimes the taxi phase is the busiest flight phase, so you can imagine how important is to how to read the horizontal Taxiway Markings.

If you look outside during your taxi operation you will notice that on the ground you have the taxiways information.

The horizontal taxiway marking that has a black background with yellow letters and numbers indicates the taxiway that you are currently in. If the background is yellow and the letters, numbers, and arrows are black that indicates where you will be next if you follow the indicated instruction.

This informations will help you a lot when taxing on a complex Airport.
