The scenery at Ramshaw Rocks in Staffordshire is rather out worldly location especially when the conditions are heavy fog and mist which makes for a foreboding photographic subject. The highly unusual Ramshaw rock formations almost look like they were formed in the very beginnings of time and are often overlooked in favour of the more well known Roaches rock formation. To overlook them is a big mistake.
On good weather days photographing from Ramshaw Rocks provides stunning landscape photography subjects and interest of focus and well worth a visit. Parking couldn't be simpler as there is a little layby off the A53 past Upper Hulme and before the Winking Man pub. The walk from the car park up onto the rocks is straight forward and is very easy, perhaps only a couple of hundred meters at most. Parking: [ Ссылка ]
The weather forecast was for it to clear by 09:00 and we started to contemplate moving on. Noticing some clear patches appearing above as the warmth of the sun slowly evaporated the fog and mist. Then all of a sudden the clouds started to lift and we were presented with the stunning views looking down Ramshaw Rocks towards Leek and Staffordshire Moorlands and on to the Roaches beyond..
So for you unfortunate lot I'm back on the small silver screen with a short 6 min video showing my adventure at Ramshaw Rocks in the Peak District UK and I hope you enjoy the images I managed to capture in the less than ideal conditions.
An opportunity presented itself very recently with my photography mate Mark, that would allow me to get back into the motions of landscape photography and filming my adventures with the camera
