I was surprised to discover that there were still some E444Rs circulating in their original livery until approx 2003. Here is some video proof:

I used the train this loco was hauling as a basis for my rake- however, I decided to include a self-service buffet (as my BH is in the wrong version of XMPR) and added my brand new ACME UIC-X Giubileo 1995R coach to the rake.
Consist is as follows:
Riva E444R (original colours)
3x Lima Expert Gran Confort series 2 XMPR- 1 originally had the experimental red stripe version of the livery, which I have adjusted to blue- it still has the roofline white stripe. Don't worry, I still have one with the red stripe!
1x Heris Self Service XMPR
2x Riva UIC-Z B in XMPR v1 livery (I repainted the roofs the correct colour, removed the Trenitalia logos and added the FS logo on the white stripe between the windows).
1x AMCE UIC-X B Giubeleo 1995R XMPR mainlines v1- I removed the Trenitalia logo, red coach end numbers and added the FS logo between the logos. This makes the coach in "as delivered" condition after its refit.
1x Roco Eurofima B XMPR v1
This accompanied by Riva E444 in XMPR v1 (not green front) livery. It is hauling a rake of SBB Eurocities, with a Roco Gran Confort Restaurant- this is a typical formation of the Riviera dei Fiori Intercity.
Finally, my Lima Expert E636 is hauling a three coach regionale. The coaches are old Rivarossi UIC-X '64s, repainted into XMPR v1 DTR colours. Don't worry, I chose poor quality examples to repaint! I still really like the original Riva UIC-Xs, even though they are very old. However, where they are shorter and fatter than they should be, they can only run in a self contained set. I think they look really good in DTR colours- definitely better than they looked before! Nice to see them put to use and rolling again!
