Wiper democratic movement has unveiled a new party structure at their just concluded party retreat in Naivasha. The lineup that has seen members from the coastal region rise to the top includes senator Hassan Omar elected to the powerful post of secretary general, while the former treasurer Hon Shakila Abdulla gets the deputy party leader position. Nyali legislator Hezron Awiti was elected the treasurer.in other changes, the party has establish a summit, its highest decision making organ…the summit comprises the party leader, the party chairman, all elected governors and the leaders in the national assembly. Mwingi central MP Joe Mutambu will now be in charge of resource mobilization, a role previously held by Sen. Johnston Muthama who was moved to the cord management committee.
