In this Europe road trip video, I am going on a nice car drive in 4k quality, driving from Gabrovo Bulgaria, located in North Western Bulgaria to the Freedom Monument on St Nicholas Peak in Shipka, a historic battle place during the 1877-78 Russian-Turkish liberation war. This beautiful route was part of my amazing road trip in Bulgaria. Bulgaria (Bulgarian: България), officially the Republic of Bulgaria, is a country in Southeast Europe. Gabrovo (Bulgarian: Габрово) is a town in central northern Bulgaria, the administrative centre of Gabrovo Province. It is situated at the foot of the central Balkan Mountains, in the valley of the Yantra River, and is known as an international capital of humour and satire (see Gabrovo humour), as well as noted for its Bulgarian National Revival architecture. Gabrovo is also known as the longest town in Bulgaria, stretching over 25 km along the Yantra, yet reaching only 1 km (0.6 mi) in width at places. The Liberty Memorial is the symbol of modern Bulgaria and the liberation of Bulgaria. The Shipka monument is the heart of the Shipka National Park-Museum and is located on Shipka Peak. Its outline resembles a medieval Bulgarian fortress and can be seen from dozens of kilometres. It was built with donations from the people from all over Bulgaria and was inaugurated on 26 August 1934. It is 31.5 m tall and 890 steps lead up to it. [...] The highest platform of the Liberty Memorial affords a beautiful panoramic view of the surroundings. The cornerstone of the monument was laid on 24 August 1922, the construction was completed in 1930, and the inauguration of the monument took place on 26 August 1934 by Boris III of Bulgaria.
