Bassist: Howie Epstein (I think)
So Howie is listed as the bassist on the album, and often was the bassist, but Jeff Lynne (of ELO) was also listed as a bassist on the album.

This video shows at 4:56 that The bassist in the back in the red is picking, and you can clearly see Howie on a guitar in the video. I'm going to assume that it was played with a pick.
