Performing a 3-song set and having an interview with Dante from the Right to Remain Silent, Brooklyn-based dreamy shoegazey rock band Lightning Bug played a set for WPRB Live back in January. Debuted on air and online at 11:15PM on 02/11 on WPRB.

Fronted by Audrey Kang, the band's sophomore album "October Song" (Marbled Arm, rereleased on Fat Possum) was released in September 2019 and received an astounding 8.0/10 on music review site Pitchfork. Featuring whirling decks, Kang's introspective songwriting, and lush sound design, Lightning Bug marries the best of rock, shoegaze, electronic, and dreampop music to create a sound which stands apart from its peers. The band's 2015 release "Floaters LP" received rave reviews from music blogs and has been described as a "cult" hit.
