After what can only be described as a very dry summer so far resulting in steam bans on the Mainline. One to suffer from that, is Vintage Trains and the Shakespeare's Express with only 2 out of 4 Shakespeare's hauled by 7029 Clun Castle.
With 7029 today allowed to be worked a bit more than it was 2 weeks ago, when the Castle was merely there for show. We see the Castle at Wilmcote Bank and then Dorridge Station. Although the runpasts are not what we are used to at these locations, it is completely understandable that 7029 was not being worked to the maximum today due to the fire risk. Hence the diesel assistance on the back.
