A pair of Superdrug staff members have gone viral on Twitter after a TikTok sketch showing the pair shopping for ‘Father’s Day presents’ left users in stitches.
The clip, filmed by staff in Superdrug’s St. Helen’s store, shows a mock customer interaction, with one member of staff coming in to look for ‘Father’s Day presents’.
The cashier, in what some users referred to as an ‘Oscar’ worthy performance lays out a series of men’s aftershaves.
With staff members bizarrely playing both customer and cashier, the production quality was rather rustic.
The ‘customer’ then says she’ll have the lot.
Whilst it might have seemed like the classic reluctant work TikTok, some users praised the pair for a comedic performance.
“The emotion portrayed is incredible,” wrote one user.
“How it got no BAFTAs it was robbed,” wrote a second user.
“That girl should get an Oscar,” wrote a third.
“GCSE Drama vibe,” wrote a fourth user.
“And the Oscar for female artist in a short film goes to…”, wrote a fifth user.
Multiple users responded with pictures of characters from chicken run, a subtle nod to the St Helen’s pair’s Lancashire accents.
Despite the tongue in cheek response, it’s clear everybody loves a bargain.
