Turkey and Israel are closer than they have been previously to normalising ties since an Israeli raid on a Turkish aid ship in 2010 according to the Turkish foreign minister. The statement follows news last week, that Israel has offered to pay USD 20 million in compensation to the families of the nine Turks killed during the raid.
