. Danced to the conjunto-style son of the 40s and 50s, which was popularized by musicians like Arsenio Rodríguez and Félix Chappottín, son montuno is a dance that has almost been lost in time. Like chachachá, most Cubans nowadays do not know how to dance son montuno (or even recognize it). This workshop feeds from the work of master instructor and educator Roberto Borrell, who has done a tremendous effort to rescue dances like this one.
