"Educated Fish" (1937) is a delightful animated short produced by Fleischer Studios and directed by Dave Fleischer. This Color Classics cartoon follows Tommy Cod, a young fish who prefers playing pinball over attending school. His disinterest in education gets him into trouble when he falls for a fisherman's bait. Through his misadventures, Tommy learns the importance of paying attention in school to avoid danger in the future. The cartoon was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Animated Short.
