- How is socio-economic inequality linked to the climate crisis?
- What roles does GEF play in trying to achieve climate justice? How can we support socio-economic development to reduce inequality, while reducing the impacts on climate traditionally associated with development?
- How do you think economic and social inequality impacts young people in regard to the climate crisis? As a citizen of the Global South and of SIDs, which socio-economic challenges do you feel need most urgent attention in order to get to grips with the climate crisis?

- Each year TSL hosts an international essay competition focused on a major sustainability challenge. Our theme for 2022 was CLIMATE JUSTICE.
- This year we received 1122 essays from 59 countries around the world on the question: “How would addressing inequality help to combat the climate crisis?”
- 253 Teacher Champions from 243 schools have enabled their students to share their ideas on how addressing inequality might play a role in combatting the climate crisis.
