Throughout the year, Avalon Airport is treated with various freighter 747s that transport equipment for international events and transport cattle and produce. Australia has a whole lacks a lot of 747 variety in both the passenger and freight market. Being so far away from everything, i'ts not viable to be a connection point similar to airports like Anchorage and the freight demand for Australia as a whole is no where near as high as countries like America or China. These chartered flights are the only reliable time that Australia's visited by carriers like Air Bridge Cargo and Nippon Cargo Airlines.
This year there was an unexpected visit by one of Silkway West airline's B747-400Fs which has never visited Avalon before. Their livery paired with the older version of the Rolls-Royce RB211's make a remarkable combination and awesome catch.
