Today we want to investigate the population of tigers in different countries in the world


The tiger population is the world is estimated around 3900 - 4500 according to recent surveys. India is home to over 70% of the entire tiger population in the world followed by Russia and Bangladesh. The tiger historically ranged from eastern Turkey and Transcaucasia to the coast of the Sea of Japan, and from South Asia across Southeast Asia to the Indonesian islands of Sumatra, Java and Bali. Now it mainly occurs in the Indian subcontinent, the Indochinese Peninsula, Sumatra and the Russian Far East (13 Countries). This includes all 9 types of Tigers - Bengal tigers(Endangered), Siberian Tigers(Endangered), Sumatran Tigers(Critically Endangered), Indochinese Tigers(Endangered), South China Tigers(Critically Endangered), Caspian Tigers(Extinct), Bali Tiger (Extinct), Javan Tiger (Extinct)
