The custodian of the Imam Hussain Shrine, sheikh Abdul-Mehdi Al-karbala'ey, directed the engineering staff working on the project of raising the dome of the Imam Hussain Shrine to hasten the work in order to achieve the project sooner in order not to coincide with the upcoming major pilgrimages when millions of pilgrims flock into the shrine.
His Eminence emphasized that the project must be implemented according to the best architectural methods and hastening the project should not affect the quality of the work.
The project will raise the dome of the Imam Hussain Shrine and thin the internal pillars to make more space for pilgrims.
