Reviews are essential to the success of every local business in the world. They help build trust and increase visibility to potential customers. Ranking algorithms in directories often focus in part on reviews.
In case that's not enough of a reason, Google sees reviews on other sites, and it contributes to your website AND Google Business Profile ranking. So, Yelp contributes to increasing your rank in more places on the internet than just Yelp.
But you can't ask for reviews on Yelp. It's 100% against their terms of service and will either get your reviews removed or get your business banned completely.
Here, see for yourself: [ Ссылка ]
So how are you supposed to get reviews on Yelp without asking?
These three strategies will help get you more reviews on Yelp without breaking their rules.
1) Incentivize Customer Check-In
If a customer checks into your business location on Yelp, then Yelp will ask that customer to leave a review. They'll do the asking for you!
But people aren't typically just going to check into your business for no reason. You can add a coupon if they check out though.
That means you can incentivize them to check in rather than relying on them doing it for nothing (who would do that!?)
2) Embed Yelp
Yelp gives you lots of embed codes that allow you to put Yelp badges on your website. They show your review number, and allow customers to click on it to see your Yelp profile and leave a review.
The more visibility into Yelp customers have (do they know you're there?) the more likely they are leave you a review.
3) Tell People!
The more you tell people your business is on Yelp, the more likely they are to leave you a review!
The Yelp embed badge is one way but there are lots of other ways you can tell people you're on Yelp.
Here are some ways you can tell people you're on Yelp without explicitly asking them for a review:
- Your email signature
- Receipt
- Store signage (front door, table, menus, etc.)
- At the end of a service call, say "by the way, check us out on Yelp."
So, go out there and get lots of reviews on Yelp but don't ask for them.
