Hawan Sarki or Governors Durbar in katsina is one of the most colorful Durbar processions in Nigeria since the colonial era to date.
It is a spectacular Durbar procession where expensive regalias, mainly from Britain and Morocco, are displayed to the admiration of the spectators from within the country and beyond.
The event is also the climax of the Salah festival and a converging point for the elites in the emirate to review issues of development, unity and prosperity.
