"Pūt vējiņi" (Blow ye Wind) is an old Livonian wedding song that has become folklorized and is considered a Latvian folk song, and often used in place of the national anthem during the Soviet era.
It is believed that it originated near the Daugava Livs in Vidzeme. The Livonians, or Livs are a Balto-Finnic people indigenous to northern Latvia and southwestern Estonia.
