Arulmigu Vadapalani Andavar Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Muruga, located in Vadapalani, Chennai, India. It is one of the most popular Murugan temples in the city, and is famous for its 40.8-meter-tall Rajagopuram and its reputation for helping devotees find answers to their problems in life.
The temple was founded in the late 19th century by Annaswami Nayakar, a devotee of Lord Muruga. The temple was originally a thatched hut, but it was expanded and renovated in the 1920s. The current Rajagopuram was built during this time, and it is adorned with stucco images depicting legends from the Skanda Puranam.
The temple is open to the public from 6:00 am to 12:00 pm and 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Devotees come to the temple to pray to Lord Muruga for help with their problems, and to seek his blessings.
