The session commenced on July 20 amid outrage over a viral video of two women from Manipur who were paraded naked by a mob. The Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha were on Friday adjourned amid an uproar over the issue. The Opposition demanded a statement from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and a discussion on the violence in Manipur.
