In this episode of The NewsHour Debate with Navika Kumar, we discuss the Yasin Malik case. Today, NIA Court in Delhi awarded life imprisonment and a fine of over Rs 10 lakh to Yasin Malik. The NIA today urged the court to give the death penalty to Yasin Malik, a separatist leader from Jammu and Kashmir while the latter said that will not beg for anything and left the decision in court. Some might be satiated but I am not satisfied as I want the death penalty for him in my case. Mobile internet was suspended in Kashmir as a precautionary measure after a court awarded life imprisonment. We are joined by expert guests to share their views on this. "What Yasin Malik has done to us, should be done to him. All those media houses & people who stood beside him should also be punished," says Ashoke Pandit, Kashmiri Pandit. "I respect 'Bharat Mata' as a Hindu deity. But, saying 'Bhaarat Mata Ki Jai" is against my religious ethic," says Majid Hyderi. "I want justice!
