After months of speculation over what Robert Mueller meant in his report on Trump possibly obstructing justice in his probe, the Special Counsel had the opportunity to testify before the House Judiciary Committee.

Robert Mueller's long-awaited testimony to the US Congress opened Wednesday amid intense speculation over whether he would implicate President Donald Trump in criminal wrongdoing.

The special counsel's April report on his investigation into the election of the United States, and the evidence of obstruction of justice by the president, but recommended no charges.

"Director Mueller," said House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler, opening the hearing.
