Desiree Mendez is a car enthusiast since childhood. She moved from New York to Philadelphia to start a new life. Discovering PTTI’s Automotive Technician Program made her grab the opportunity even during the pandemic. She talks about her life, career, and goals through PTTI’s Automotive Technician Program.

In her 6-month of hands-on training program, not only did she reignite her passion and interest in cars, but she also grew on a personal front. Being in a male-dominated industry and having self-esteem issues, is definitely important. However, she learned to step forward and show her talent and voice her opinion.

She enthusiastically talks about how she feels about her career and what she brings to the table. Her main advice to anyone is “Don’t be scared” to do something, ask questions, repeat yourself or find your passion. We are proud of her and wish her all the best in her career ahead.
