The Atmel AT89C51 and AT89C52 microcontrollers are truly iconic. However, they are not recommended for new designs. Instead, you might consider using other microcontrollers, such as the TI MSP430 or Atmel (acquired by Microchip) AVR-based Atmega series commonly used in Arduino projects. It’s best to use these 89C51 series MCUs only if you already have them in your electronics bench or hobby box.
