The wrapper is a dark Habano leaf - not a maduro but almost maduro looking - brimming with oils, nice tooth and texture. Cold draw features a distinct honey, bready character and notes of earth, leather, and spice. Nicely box-pressed, it burns perfectly, good draw, crisp carbon line, and firm ash you have to knock off. Starts out pleasantly with some notes of cocoa, wood, and some spice, with a slight musty earthiness and zero harshness. By the second half, the spice that is building gives way to black pepper, leather, cinnamon, and espresso. Antihero is the ideal cigar in combination of richness and smoothness.
