If you just want to hear music, skip to 02:21 in the video.
So in the never ending struggle to fight gear acquisition syndrome, I am making an effort to learn deeper functions of and/or use gear I have in new and creative ways. In this particular case, I've been teaching myself how to create sample-based loops on the Zoom R8 Recorder and perform those back as a track.
In this video, I give you some of my thoughts and then a jam to show a little about how this works.
Let me know in the comments if you have any questions. And if there's enough interest, I'll do a how to video as well.
If you're interested in where I got the sounds from:
Drums - PO-33 KO
Chords - Yamaha Reface CP
Leads - Yamaha Reface CP
Bass - OPZ
Pads - Modal Skulpt
Thanks,
Matty G.
