This video is based on my experience, traveling to Puerto Rico as a fully undocumented individual living in the United States. Please be aware of the risk that come with traveling to Puerto Rico. Puerto Rico is the only US territory that does not require you to clear immigration customs upon returning to the mainland. Traveling in the mainland and traveling to Puerto Rico have two separate risk. Please fully watch the video to understand what risk you’re taking when traveling to P.R.🇵🇷 I have used my Mexican passport and my California Driver License (AB60 for a documented individuals). I have been to Puerto Rico four times and to my bad luck this fourth time I was stop by CBP(immigration) at a random checkpoint when going through TSA. Stay tune for that video as it will be posted soon! 🙌 Please note that TSA is NOT immigration, and they cannot ask for your immigration status! I WILL ALSO BE MAKING A VIDEO REGARDING THE RISK OF TRAVELING IN THE MAINLAND AS AN UNDOCUMENTED INDIVIDUAL, AND WHAT AIRPORTS TO AVOID. Don’t forget to subscribe to stay tuned for all the content I will be posting.
For those of you guys who are asking yourselves if I am a DACA recipient, I am NOT! I am fully undocumented living in the U.S. It takes a lot to embrace being undocumented and sharing all this information online. My sole purpose is to help other undocumented individuals, educate themselves and use this information to their advantage. When traveling as an undocumented individual in the United States please acknowledge that you are traveling at your own risk, well knowing what can happen and the legal trouble it can bring. There is thousands and thousands of undocumented individuals that travel yearly in the United States without any issues. Now this does not mean that it is 100% safe. However, when you’re undocumented you are able to use a valid, foreign passport or a state issued drivers license( this applies to those who live in a state that issues drivers license to undocumented individuals). You might be asking yourself about the Real ID, this does not take into effect until May 7, 2025 as it was extended once again. So therefore those who use a state issued drivers license, can continue to use them until that day. Yes, you can still use this drivers license, even if it says “federal limits apply”. The purpose of the real ID was to ensure drivers license and identification cards were federal valid forms of identification. However, like I mentioned, the Real ID has not taken into effect yet. Beyond this date, our drivers license with no longer be valid for traveling, but our foreign passports will always be valid and in accordance to the TSA website and Department of Homeland Security a valid foreign passport can be used and will fall in the Real ID exceptions. We do not know what risks will come with using our foreign passports when the real ID takes into effect. So until now use this information so that you can travel with more confidence knowing your rights as in an undocumented individual traveling inside the U.S. Do not forget to subscribe and like this video!!! Below are all my social media links. You guys are more than welcome to DM me with any questions you might have, preferably, leave them in the comments, so that if someone else has the same question, they can find the answer once I reply.
Thank you guys so much!🙌
