The Union Cabinet has recently approved the National Logistics Policy. The newly approved policy seeks to cut transportation costs by promoting seamless movement of goods across the country. It is targeted at reducing the costs of logistics in India to be comparable to global benchmarks by 2030 and improving India's global ranking in logistics by creating a data-driven decision support mechanism.
