আমি দাঁড়ায়ে রহিনু এপারে তুমি ওপারে ভাসালে ভেলা।।
সেই সে বিদায় ক্ষণে
শপথ করিলে বন্ধু আমার, রাখিবে আমারে মনে,
ফিরিয়া আসিবে খেলিবে আবার সেই পুরাতন খেলা।।
আজো আসিলে না হায়,
মোর অশ্রুর লিপি বনের বিহগী দিকে দিকে লয়ে যায়,
তোমারে খুঁজে না পায়।
মোর গানের পাপিয়া ঝুরে
গহন কাননে তব নাম লয়ে আজো পিয়া পিয়া সুরে;
গান থেমে যায়, হায় ফিরে আসে পাখী বুকে বিঁধে অবহেলা।।
