Posted this video in 2011 but Jagex probably had it taken down as it was removed, now it's back and am happy to say that it still works! Put this up here for you guys! Enjoy!

Hey guys, update: this does still work, as of September 2012. I've recovered quite a few accounts this year! Although the email to which you send the code has been changed. The email is now RuneScapeRecoveryTeam@Gmail.com

How this recovery method works: The email that you send your message to is a registered email of Jagex's account recovery team. The email that you would send contains a code. Must be in that exact format. The code in the email tricks the RuneScape email servers to respond with a recovery change with the account listed in the code and the password provided.

I suspect Jagex changed the old recovery email because people found out about it and over used the method of recovering accounts with it... lol. But yeah, Follow the same steps shown in the video just send the message to Jagex's new email. Remember don't abuse this too much or Jagex will change the email address again!
