Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) deputy chief commissioner (prevention) Datuk Seri Norazlan Mohd Razali officially retired yesterday after serving with the graft busters since 1989.
Norazlan was honoured in a farewell ceremony attended by MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki and other senior officers to celebrate his contributions in combating corruption over his 35-year career.
The ceremony also included the handover of duties from Norazlan to the MACC special operations division director Datuk Azmi Kamaruzaman, who will now serve as acting deputy chief commissioner (prevention).
In a statement, MACC said the event was held to show appreciation for Norazlan, who began his career as an investigative officer with the Anti-Corruption Agency before holding various key positions within the organisation.
