This was a great idea that just lacked in execution. With safety still an issue, it makes total sense for the belts to slide over the driver and passengers and snug automatically.
That ended up being the problem as too many systems couldn't adapt to different body types, so either too loose or tight on the driver. But it's still a great feature worth reviving to ensure the folks inside the car are safe as possible in an accident.
