@neelsengupta9310
My wife agrees with you, Sabrina, all black seiko divers look the same to her!
@mohnnadmercedes8246
For vintage watches, 3d printing will not produce a finely tuned and delicate pieces for watches, its not like 3d printing in vintage car industry that is booming right now
@CTizer
Hi Spencer and Sabrina! Recent subscriber to your amazing channel. Im coming back to Seiko recently and if you dont mind me asking do you have any experience with the Shogun? If not do you have a favourite modern seiko diver you would encourage to look into? My budget would be up to £2-3k. Thank you for reading. Your work is a treasure, best wishes to you and family
@truebluemiata
Regarding water resistance, I've read two schools of thought, that a screw down crown adds to the WR, or that it doesn't but prevents the stem from being accidentally pulled out while underwater. What say you?
MAINSPRING MADNESS! PUTTING A SWISS MAINSPRING INTO A SEIKO
@BiffTannenBTTF
Spencer have you ever serviced a truly NOS Seiko from the 60’s or 70’s? I wonder how high of amplitude we could get if it was truly a brand new movement. That would tell us what Seiko was wanting to get out of these movements when brand new.
@WeekendWatchRepair
Great results! I'm glad that the test spring I sent worked out for you. I'm going to be sitting down this weekend to tackle my own 6139 project. I don't anticipate as big of an amplitude jump on that watch, as the 6138 & 6139 mainsprings are ever so slightly thicker than the non-chrono 61 series OEM mainsprings, but the test mainspring is still slightly thicker. I'm interested to see what kind of numbers I can get out of it. Very enjoyable and informative video Spencer. It was a pleasure talking with you.
@Super-ew1ty
Interested to hear what the reserve time is?
@WMIYC
It’s an option for sure. I’m pretty sure I’ve done this myself at least once. The question is what is, if any actual real world on the wrist gain beyond the timegrapher numbers. I think the reason I did it was simply out of need of a mainspring and it fit. Could the greater power cause accelerated wear?
FOR SM: SEIKO 7548-700F ‘STORMIN’ NORMAN’ RESTORATION
@markcreighton3733
Spencer, My 7548-700B I got for my 20th Birthday in 1980 was what got me into SEIKO dive watches.............its still on my wrist in 2024 and I still luv it. I have stuck to my ritual of getting the battery & seals replaced every 5 years regardless of the battery still working. The watch is still worn in the ocean most days.............
HEUER CALCULATOR WATCH, UPDATE 1!
@BokiPetrovic88
Happy New Year Spencer wish you all the best. Can I use 300T13ALS0 instead 300T21ANS0? If not what is the crystal replacement for 300T21ANS0? I'm buying from Cousins.
@andrewpeterwhatsonmybench1383
Hello , I know your feeling with the donor movement . However all the auto parts will fit . I have two beautiful. Donor spares movement just in case I require them at a future case . The china spot welder for dial feet works very well but a large expense . Great work enjoyed the update
@MrBtcruiser
Nekkid Watchmaker? From what I've seen on his channel he does magic with watch cases.
@John-wx9
As a hobbyist watchmaker, the complications look daunting to me. I really like that movement holder, as well.
KVW’S WHAT’S IN THE BOX - SABRINA’S WATCH COLLECTION
@BiffTannenBTTF
Where did you get the 1680 case parts? One of the Vietnam manufacturers? It looks really nice.

Hi Spencer,the technoman photo shows the original issue leather strap as mine,any further news since you got my info ? By the way having had mine now over 50 years,why would anyone want to copy a Seiko that far back? Regards.
KVW’S WRIST TIME COLLECTION OF 2024
@truebluemiata
Hi Spencer. I think the coating you've got is Diamond-like coating, or DLC. It seems that you're branching out to non-Seiko watches. Personal interest only or will you begin serving them too?
@MrBacchus18
I wonder why Seiko doesn't sell that chronograph in a reissue in a modern version like they do the turtle? Great collection like that I MM a lot and the Too Gun
@hitrandrei
Where is the turtle?! hehe
KVW’S WHICH WATCH - FIRST WRIST-DWELLER OF 2025 - ROLEX 168000
@BiffTannenBTTF
Just bought a rare transitional Tudor Submariner from 1986. The 76100 with lollipop hour hand. Same case, crystal and bracelet as your 168000. Actually the case is more like the 1680 because it uses a plastic crystal. Cool watches!
PSA: This video contains sub-optimal levels of editing, enough to get it done. We have zero script beyond the questions people have sent in. We have but ymmv. Thanks for watching.
