U.S. Vice President Mike Pence labeled Chinese tech giant Huawei a threat to national security and called on Washington's allies to ban the company from developing 5G wireless infrastructure. He made the comments at the Munich Security Conference.
But a Chinese senior diplomat was on hand to defend Huawei as he praised the company for working closely with China's European partners.
