Developing complex technological solutions typically requires significant time and effort including continuous iterations, conducting numerous tests and, of course, thinking outside the box to deal with challenges. This isn't something that happens overnight.
In 2019, Qlayers made the first prototype of the spray shielding hood, which is a unique and patented component of our coating robots. The function of the hood is to ensure the high quality and accuracy of applied coating layers as well as to minimize the overspray from being released into the air and surroundings.
Over the last three years, our team has been working on design optimizations and upgrades in order to provide our clients with a highly reliable and competitive coating solution.
🎤In a recent interview, our CTO & Co-founder, Ruben Geutjens, and our Head of Design, Tom Gudde, shared some insights about the hood development timeline and how the latest design differs significantly from the first version.
