As you know I recently lost my Goldfish Viola, and in her dissection, I found gill flukes. As you know, I have also lost a few other fish this year to other issues and feel like my fish are not as healthy as they used to be and am worried about a potential parasite/protozoa issue.
I have decided to do a triple anti-parasite treatment to help cure any potential problems that are responsible for this. Flubendazole works against a large range of both large parasites and protozoa, while praziquantel only works against certain types of larger parasites like flukes. Levamisole actually does not work against flukes, however, it can harm other parasites that are potentially in their gut by paralyzing them, and levamisole is found to help boost immune function in fish which can also help them fight parasites. I already had this treatment going and decided to run all three at once while I was at it.

The dosage I used: 1 gram (5% powder) per 20 gallons

After adding the medications make sure to wait 24-48 hours, then do a 50-80% water change. You want to make sure to clean the gravel and substrate as best as possible, there may be half-dead / paralyzed parasites on the ground. If you do these treatments, you should do it 2-3 times in total with about a 6-day break in between each treatment, with the 6 day period starting after you change out the water post-treatment.
