Getting the pictures you want in Bird and Wildlife Photography isn't easy. How do you find wildlife to photograph? How do you improve your photography? It's things like this that we, as photographers, are always dealing with. But honestly, it comes down to a few simple things: Repetition and constant, consistent effort. It's pretty much that simple.
In this week's video, I take you along with me as I get back out in my floating blind (hide) to get some very specific images of some Ducks that I have in mind. As I was photographing these beautiful birds, I had a surprise encounter with a Mink! But this wasn't just any Mink, there was something very different and special about it! You'll have to tag along this week to find out what :)
As a professional wildlife photographer, I'm always trying to improve my photography and create exciting images that tell a story, or help the viewer feel a sense of wonder and awe when they look at a picture. This is a constant goal of mine and one that will never be complete. I'm constantly trying to refine my photography, learn as much as I can and improve on a regular basis. Follow along this week as we discuss this process and have a ton of fun with the beautiful wildlife I was able to photograph from my blind!
As always, I strive to be as respectful to the animals I photograph and observe as I possibly can. As a professional wildlife photographer, it's my responsibility to respect the beautiful animals I photograph, I encourage you to do the same.
