The Rutland Osprey Project, managed by the Leicestershire & Rutland Wildlife Trust in partnership with Anglian Water, started in 1996, with the aim to reintroduce a breeding population of ospreys to Rutland Water Nature Reserve in the East Midlands, through a translocation project. Come visit them yourself at the Rutland Osprey Project's HQ at Lyndon Visitor Centre and Nature Reserve. Enjoy hearing the stories of the Rutland Osprey Project in the visitor centre, then enjoy a walk through the meadows on the way to Manton Bay – and see there nesting ospreys for yourself, where you can experience some of the best views of breeding ospreys.
