Peace be to you all! If you want to become a Physician Assistant, understand that you will spend the REST of your career having to read, study, and learn new skills (which I find AWESOME!)!😎 Once you get into PA school, graduate, pass your PANCE, get your medical license and your first PA job 😆, it's YOUR RESPONSIBILTY TO KEEP YOUR CERTIFICATION!🤓Not ALL employers are going to pay for your certification, so it will be up to YOU to log your category 1 CME s (Q2yrs) and take your PANRE (Q6 yrs or 10 yrs depending on when you graduated). Also, be aware, that SOME states may make you get a SPECIFIC number of CMEs in certain areas. For example, I HAVE to get at LEAST 1 credit category 1 CME in LBGTQ issues, and 3 in HIV issues because my medical license is in Washington, DC. So be sure to always check with PA by-laws of the state in which you work. Remember, the work you do to BECOME a PA-C is EXTREMELY ARDUOUS! 😥
You do NOT want to lose your certification OR your license (advice to myself first...heh, heh😅! Please subscribe to my channel if you have an interest in becoming a PA or any other health-related career. I also cover fitness, education, and life style. I wish you ALL the very BEST of success in your positive endeavors. PEACE! Omar "Dr.O the PA Pro" Abdul-Malik DHEd, MPAS, PA-C🤓
