Falafel-(Moong & brown chana Sprout)

-Traditionally Falafel is made from ground chickpeas with herbs & spices , but I’m showing you how to make Falafel with moong & brown chana sprouts, plus & then mixture is then formed into balls or patties & deep fried for a texture that’s crispy on the out side & soft on the inside

Make this delicious Falafel just follow these steps
To fasten the process I bought Moong sprouts & brown chana sprouts from the store (these are not completely sprouted)
-Then I washed & rinsed very well a few times again in clean filter water
-drained the water completely using colander, transfer these sprouts to a wet cotton cloth roll tightly & make a knot to bundle the moong & brown Chana, this method will helps to sprouts grow thicker
-place it in a container move it to a warm place for 8 hours, Sprinkle little water after 2-3 hours you will see moong & brown Chana has sprouted long enough so they seen through the cloth.
Ingredients
2 glass Moong & brown chana sprouts
-2 green chilies
-6 garlic
-1 lemon juice
-dash backing soda
-3 tbsp sesame seeds
-handful parsley
-handful coriander leaves
-1 medium white onion
-1/2 tsp cumin seeds
-salt to taste
Method
-Add to food processor (pulse them in batches)
all the ingredients Moong chana sprouts, green chilies, garlic, lemon juice, Parsley, coriander leaves, white onion roughly chop, cumin powder, salt to taste.
Pulse but do not blend completely the final mixture should resemble coarse sand (like wet sand)
-Transfer to a wid mixing bowl adjust taste, stir it together until it’s fully combined
-Cover and refrigerate to chill the falafel mixture for one to two hours
-Before frying add baking soda and mix well
-take tablespoon of the mixture to your palm shape into balls and press down with your finger
-Deep fry-heat oil is a very low heat, gently drop 4-5 balls, do not over crowd, fry them in batches, fry for 2-3 minutes or until golden crispy on the outside
Enjoy with falafel sour sauce, hummus, Arabic salad
SOUR SAUCE
-3 tbsp yogurt
-1/2 tsp garlic paste
-1 tbsp mayonnaise
-dash sugar
-dash salt & pepper
-sprinkle Sumac (optional Arabic spice)
-3 drops white vinegar
-1/2 lime juice
-mix and combine well and refrigerate.
