Sara Stjernkvist is a Street Evangelist who chose to move to the UK - because elective home education is not legal in her home country of Sweden. Here is a story of God’s grace for Sara not only as a young girl of six years old discovering a call on her life but now as a Mum juggling evangelism on the streets with running a home school. Sara grew up in a Christian family and exemplifies the importance of bringing up children in the ways of the Lord so that they can be prepared to serve Him when they grew into adults. Since the days of the early church this has been the model for building the kingdom.
In her childhood vision Sara knew that she would one day be a missionary to Africa. She is now on the streets of Oxford meeting the mental, physical and spiritual needs of the homeless. Some need food, others need prayers for healing, others take part in the prayer of salvation. Whilst some passers by spit and mock others Sara is given supernatural power to help and bless all who are willing to receive. It is a delightful and engaging experience to listen to the stories of her encounters. Tim Vince asks what is the first question one should ask a complete stranger to open up a conversation? This is a master class in simple sharing of the gospel that the whole Church Without Walls can be part of.
One of the most powerful dimensions of the interview is hearing how Sara's own children are able to reach out and preach out the truth of God’s love and forgiveness on the streets. Even to the extent of holding their own church meetings with prays for healing of the sick. As Tim Vince notes if there were more Sara Stjernkvists the church and the streets of Britain would be in a very much better place. God chooses the weak things of this world to shame the strong.
