Presentation at SESAM (Society in Europe for Simulation Applied to Medicine) annual meeting 2021.
Simulation-based training is increasingly considered essential for acquiring skills in healthcare professions. Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology (FNAC) is a minimally-invasive diagnostic procedure, with diagnostic yield highly dependent on the skill of the proceduralist. A novel FNAC simulator is commercially available, but no validation study has yet been made to determine its validity as a teaching tool. The aim of this study is to report face, content and construct validity of this simulator.
