The gas leak occurred at the LG Polymers Plant around 2.30 in the morning and reportedly spread over a radius of about three km, affecting at least five villages. Hundreds of people have fallen sick and have complained of breathing trouble. At least 8 people have lost their lives, 20 critically affected and 170 people are being treated as of now.
