Tested on Iphone 7, Ipad Pro, and Iphone 11 Pro Max.
No sound delay , maybe a little, but 100% you will not recognize it.
No sound quality drop if mic on. Still stereo and clear voice from both sides.
H1 chip from airpods 2 does the job very well.
Perfect for chicken dinner 🙃

Notes : sound came out from the airpods, not the Ipad. The fact, if you put the airpods on your ear, the sound is not that loud.
Tips : try to set playspeed to 0.75x or 0.50x
