In this episode of Fresh Tracks, Randy Newberg is joined by friend Jim Baichtal in Wyoming to chase pronghorn. Jim is a geologist and avid hunter who resides in Southeast Alaska. To make things more interesting, he hunts strictly with a blackpowder rifle.

They have no trouble finding plenty of antelope, but Jim needs to get within 100 yards to make an ethical shot with his set up. Early in the hunt he gets close to a nice buck, but decides to pass. But thankfully, there are plenty of antelope and it doesn't take long to find another mature buck. Jim ends up finding a suitable buck and makes a stalk within range, and gets a great shot with his blackpowder rifle.
